Juz read the 1st page of The SUN (16 Nov 2007), was truly happy as Malaysia "High" Performance Training Centre in Brickendonbury got REJECTED! However a RM2 million had been wastefully spent for fees for architect firms and expenses for "visiting Malaysian delegates"? Among the reasons got rejected is because
"Tun Abdul Razak Rubber Reseach Centre which part of it is proposed to convert the the "high" performance training centre?"
- the project is too large for for a contingent that had only 26 ahtletes at the Athen
- FIFA standard football pitch is unreasonable for a country that has only played once in an Olympic(1972) football tournament and never, I REPEAT, never made it to the World Cup.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia_national_football_team)
Previous they are talking about "to ensure that our local athletes get enough exposure overseas for training and competing in the international arena" while "Football Association of Malaysia’s junior team, which had been accepted to train at Arsenal FC in London, could be the first to use the centre's facilities", R U SURE AR?
C'monlar, if sending our football team there to training also and spending millions, comeback to Tiger Cup also got beaten at least, I MEAN AT LEAST 5-0 by IRAQ...
